The NIU N-Series uses state of the art lithium-ion battery packs by Panasonic with a two-year guarantee. Weighing in at only 10kg (22lbs.), you can easily carry the NIU battery for in-home/office re-charging. The 29aH battery pack is fully re-charged in six hours, providing an 50-70km range, or about four typical days of urban commuting. 

This model is based on the NGT but is powered by an 1800W motor, which still qualifies as a moped in the 50cc category.

NUI have teamed up with BOSCH to build an ultra efficient and smart motor to bring e-scooters into the future. At the center of this collaboration is the NIU developed “Field-Oriented Control” system, that was customized for the 1800W BOSCH motor to optimize power consumption. NUI coupled the FOC optimized motor with an EBS dual brake system to recycle power back into the system. When you’re braking, you’re re-charging.
